Christy Mathewson

Born August 12, 1880, in Factoryville, Pennsylvania, was Baseball Hall of Fame right-handed Pitcher Christy Mathewson. This legend, also known by the monikers of "Big Six", "the Christian Gentleman", "Matty", and "the Gentleman's Hurler," played the majority of his MLB career with the New York Giants along with a partial season at the end of his career with the Cincinnati Reds organization. As a Giant he won World Series titles in 1905 and 1921. His brilliant pitching earned him the Triple Crown 1905 and 08 as he became the National League wins leader 1905, 07, 08, 10. Mathewson also pitched two no-hitters during his MLB career. Christy still ranks in the all-time top 10 in several key pitching categories, including wins, shutouts, and earned run average. This baseball great was one of the first five to selected to enter the Baseball Hall of Fame at its inception.

Rollie Fingers

Born August 25, 1946, in Steubenville, Ohio, was Baseball Hall of Fame Relief Pitcher, Rollie Fingers. This legend is a seven-time MLB All Star; World Series Champion in 1972, 73, and 74 where he was voted as the MVP. Fingers was also the American League Most Valuable Player and took home the Cy Young Award 1981. The man with the famous handlebar mustache donned the uniforms of the Oakland A's, San Diego Padres, and the Milwaukee Brewers during his baseball career. He set franchise records for career saves for all three of his teams, and took the hill in multiple innings to ice the victory for his teams. career ERA of 2.90 ranked eighth among pitchers with at least 1,500 innings pitched after 1930. Fingers was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992, making him just the second reliever elected after Hoyt Wilhelm.

Ted Simmons

Born August 9, 1949, in Highland Park, Michigan, was Baseball Hall of Fame Catcher Ted Simmons. This legend was an eight-time MLB All Star, won the Silver Slugger Award in 1980 while playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves. Simmons is considered one of the best hitting catchers in MLB history, even though he played at a time when the great Johnny Bench set the standard for catchers. led all catchers in career hits and doubles and ranked second in RBIs behind Yogi Berra and second in total bases behind Carlton Fisk. He also retired with the National League record for home runs by a switch-hitter despite playing several years in the American League. Simmons hit .300 seven different times, hit 20 home runs six times, and caught 122 shutouts, eighth-most all-time.

Magic Johnson

Born August 14, 1959, in Lansing, Michigan, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard, and Executive, Earvin Magic Johnson. Magic after winning a national championship with Michigan State Spartans in 1979, was selected first overall in the 1979 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. This NBA legend was a five-time NBA champion, a three-time NBA Finals MVP, and helped win Olympic Gold in 1992 as a member of the USA Dream Team. He is also credited with nine NBA Finals appearances, 12 All-Star games, and nine All-NBA First Team selections. He led the league in regular season assists four times, and is the NBA's all-time leader in average assists per game in both the regular season (11.19 assists per game) and the playoffs (12.35 assists per game).

Jarome Iginla

Born July 1, 1977, in Edmonton, Alberta, was Hockey Hall of Fame Right Wing Jarome Iginla. This legend was a four-time NHL All-Star, winner of the Messier Award, Ted Lindsay Pearson Award, King Clancy Memorial Trophy, Art Ross, and two-time winner of the Maurice Richard Award. Iginla scored 1300 points during his 22-year career that saw him on the rosters of the Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, and Los Angeles Kings.

Ralph Kiner

Born October 27, 1922, in Santa Rita, New Mexico was Baseball Hall of Fame Left Fielder, Ralph Kiner. This legend was the National League Homerun leader in 1946–52. Kiner was a six-time MLB All-Star spending the majority of his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, but also spent time in the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs organizations.

Goose Goslin

Born October 16, 1900, in Salem, New Jersey, was Baseball Hall of Fame Left Fielder, Goose Goslin,.This legend was a World Series Champion with the 1924 Washington Senators, and the 1935 Detroit Tigers. Goose also won the American League batting title in 1928 and became an MLB All Star 1936.

Paul Molitor

Born August 22, 1956, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, was Baseball Hall of Field Infielder, Paul Molitor. This legend was a seven-time MLB All-Star with the Milwaukee Brewers, and won the 1993 World Series MVP award while on the Toronto Blue Jays. After his playing career be managed the Minnesota Twins from 2015-18.
