The 1923 Notre Dame Badin Hall football team were the (co-) interhall champions of the 1923 season. They tied Sophomore and Brownson halls and were awarded the championship on a random draw. There are conflicted reports of whether the Badinites received the championship trophy but not the championship title, or inversely had received the interhall title and not the trophy. They compiled an overall record of 6–1–1, including 4–0–1 in the interhall series and a 2–1 record against off-campus opponents. That is how this item is listed in the public domain. The assumption is that the University of Notre Dame had some frindly intramural football going on between the dorm houses, and these boys from Badin Hall at least tid for the claim of the best at the school in 1923. They really aren't dressed too much differently than the Irish regulars in the era.
