November 25, 1940 - The University of Michigan Football team retired Tom Harmon's Number 98 jersey

November 25, 1941 - Lou Boudreau, Number 5, at 24 years young, became the Cleveland Indians player/manager

November 25, 1949 - Ted Williams, Number 9 of the Boston Red Sox, won the American League MVP award

November 25, 1951 - Cleveland halfback Dub Jones, Number 86 tied the NFL record for most touchdowns in a game crossing for 6 in Browns 42-21 win v Chicago Bears at Cleveland Stadium

November 25, 1961 -  Boston Celtics Point guard, Number 14Bob Cousy became only the 2nd player in NBA history to score 15,000 points

November 25, 1966 - Cincinnati Reds infielder Number 19Tommy Helms was voted as the National League Rookie of Year

November 25, 1969 - Kansas City Royals outfielder Lou Piniella, Number 9 is voted the American League Rookie of Year

November 25, 1970 - New York Yankees catcher Number 15Thurman Munson won the American League Rookie of Year

November 25, 1971 - 37th Heisman Trophy Award went to Auburn Quarterback, Number 7, Pat Sullivan.

November 25, 1976 - O J Simpson, Number 32, gained 273 yards for the Buffalo Bills against the Detroit Lions defense

November 25, 1981 - Milwaukee Brewers Number 34, Rollie Fingers was the 1st relief pitcher to win the American League MVP

November 25, 1985 - Chicago White Sox shortstop Number 13Ozzie Guillén was named the American League Rookie of Year

November 25, 1986 - Oakland A's Jose Canseco, wearing Number 33 won the American League Rookie of Year

November 25, 2014 - Lionel Messi, Number 10, became the UEFA Champions League all-time top scorer

November 25, 2018 - CFL Grey Cup, Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton, Alberta: Calgary Stampeders beat Ottawa RedBlacks, 27-16; in Calgary's 8th Cup win Terry Williams, Number 38 scored on a record 97-yard punt-return touchdown

November 25, 2018 - LA Chargers quarterback Number 17Philip Rivers set an NFL single-game record, completing 25-straight passes in 45-10 win v Arizona Cardinals; Mark Brunell & David Carr previously share record (22); also sets NFL record for best single-game completion % (96.6)

November 25, 2019 - Baltimore Raven's 2nd-year quarterback Number 8, Lamar Jackson became the first QB in NFL history to throw for 3,000 passing yards and rush for 1,500 yards in his first 2 NFL seasons as the Ravens beat LA Rams, 45-6
