Hall of Fame NBA 7s

To find the top players in NBA history that wore a particular number we must first look to the Hall of Fame to see which of the enshrined have played with this particular number. Here is a list of the NB Number 7s that have been enshrined.

Pete Maravich

Born June 22, 1947, in Alquippa, Pennsylvania, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Guard, Pete Maravich. Maravich is one of the best all-stime outside shooters in NBA history. He was a five-time All-Star and on the NBA 75th Anniversary team. He played on the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Jazz, Utah Jazz, and Boston Celtics.


Tiny Archibald

Born September 2, 1948, in New York, New York, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard Tiny Archibald. Nate Archibald was a six-time NBA All-Star and was selected as All-NBA five times. His accolades include being the 1972-73 League scoring champion and winning an NBA Championship in 1981. The southpaw shooter played for the Cincinnati Royals, Kansas City-Omaha Kings, New York Nets, Boston Celtics, and the Milwaukee Bucks.


Kenny Anderson

Born October 9, 1970, in Queens, New York, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard Kenny Anderson. The number 2 overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft played for the New Jersey Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, New Orleans Hornets, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, and Los Angeles Clippers


Toni Kukoc

Born September 18, 1968 in Spilt, Croatia, was Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Forward, Toni Kukoc. Kukoc played on the Chicago Bulls,

Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks for 12 seasons, winning three NBA Championships, making the 1993-94 All-Rookie team and 1995-96 Sixth Man Awards. Toni finished his NBA career with an 11.6 points per game average.

That takes us to the selection of the 15 Greatest Players to have worn the Number 7 with a list of the top players that as of January 1, 2022 have worn the number in the NBA on game days.

Carmelo Anthony - played the position of Forward wearing the number on the New York Knicks (2011-17), Oklahoma City Thunder (2018), Houston Rockets (2019), and Los Angeles Lakers (2022) for 7 seasons as he scored 28289 points, dished out 3422 assists, crashed the boards for 7808 rebounds, blocked 644 shots and averaged 22.5 points per contest played for his career.
  2. Kevin Durant - played the position of Forward and Guard wearing the number on the Brooklyn Nets (21, 22) for 2 seasons as he scored 26684 points, dished out 4239 assists, crashed the boards for 6908 rebounds, smacked down 1095 opponent's shots and averaged 27.3 points a game for his career.
  3. Adrian Dantley - lined up at both Forward and Guard wearing the number 7 on the Milwaukee Bucks (91) for 1 years as he provided career 23177 points, created 2830 assists, fought for 5455 rebounds, blocked 150 shots, and averaged 24.3 points per game for his career.
  4. Shawn Marion - played the Forward position with this jersey number for the Miami Heat (08, 09) for 2 seasons as he registered 17700 points, passed for 2198 assists, hauled down 10101 rebounds, swatted away 1233 shots averaged 15.2 points each for his career.
  5. Joe Johnson - was a Guard/Forward donning the number 7 on the Brooklyn Nets (2013-16) and the Houston Rockets (2018) for 4 Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 20407 career points, helped out with 5001 assists, found the ball for 5059 rebounds, blocked 260 opposing teams' shots, averaging 260 points/game for his career.
  6. Antawn Jamison - dribbled the hard courts as a Forward with this jersey identification number the Golden State Warriors (99) for 1 seasons as he drained 20042 points, handed out 1761 assists, grabbed 8157 rebounds, and blocked 421 opponent's shots averaged 421 points per game for his career.
