Jo Jo White

Born January 16, 1946, in St Louis, Missouri, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard, Joseph White, better know as Jo Jo White. This legend was a seven-time NBA All-Star, the 1975-76 NBA Finals MVP, and two-time Champion. Jo Jo White's amazing thirteen year career had him on the rosters of the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, and the Kansas-City Kings. Averages for Jo Jo included 17.2 points and just under 5 assists per game.


Dominique Wilkins

Born January 12, 1960 in Paris, France - Dominique Wilkins, American Basketball Hall of Fame forward was a nine time NBA All Star from 1986–94 of the Atlanta Hawks. Dominique was also selected to the NBA's 75th Anniversary team. The prolific player wire Number 21 for most of his career. He was the NBA scoring champion 1986, won the annual NBA Slam Dunk Contest 1985 and 90 with his signature take-it-to-the-hole style. "The Human Highlight film" also played for the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, LA Clippers, and San Antonio Spurs during his career, but I think most of us remember him as a Hawk.


Kenny Anderson

Born October 9, 1970, in Queens, New York, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard Kenny Anderson. The number 2 overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft played for the New Jersey Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, New Orleans Hornets, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, and Los Angeles Clippers

NBA Number 12s

That takes us to the selection of the 15 Greatest Players to have worn the Number 12 with a list of the top players that as of January 1, 2022 have worn the number in the NBA on game days.

  1. Michael Jordan played as Guard/Forward wearing the number 12, believe it or not, on the Chicago Bulls (1990) for just that one season (before switching to Number 23) as he scored 32292 points, dished out 5633 assists, crashed the boards for 6672 rebounds, and blocked 893 shots during his career.
    John Stockton was a Point Guard wearing the jersey digits of the Utah Jazz (1985-2003) for 19 years as he provided 19711 points, created 15806 assists, fought for 4051 rebounds, and blocked 315 shots.

  2. Dwight Howard played the position of Center wearing the number on the Orlando Magic (2005-12), Los Angeles Lakers (2013), Houston Rockets (2014-16), and the Charlotte Hornets (2018) for ten years as he provided 19485 points, created 1676 assists, fought for 14627 rebounds, and blocked 2228 shots.

  3. Dominique Wilkins played the positions of Forward and Guard with this jersey number for the Boston Celtics (1995) for a single season as he registered 26668 points, passed for 2677 assists, hauled down 7169 rebounds, and swatted away 642 shots.

  4. LaMarcus Aldridge played the positions of Forward and Center, donning the number 12 on the Portland Trail Blazers (2007-15) and the San Antonio Spurs (2016-21) for 14 Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 20558 points, helped out with 2076 assists, found the ball for 8736 rebounds, and blocked 1187 opposing teams' shots.

  5. Vlade Divac played Center with this Number 12 jersey identification number for the Los Angeles Lakers (1990-96, and 2005) and the Charlotte Hornets (1997-98) for nine seasons as he drained 13398 points, handed out 3541 assists, grabbed 9326 rebounds, and blocked 1631 opponent's shots.

  6. Detlef Schrempf played the Power Forward and Center positions, identified by the jersey number on the Portland Trail Blazers (2000-01), for two seasons as he scored 15761 points, dished out 3833 assists, crashed the boards for 7023 rebounds, and blocked 312 shots.

  7. Paul Silas played the positions of Power Forward and Center wearing the digits on the St. Louis Hawks (1967) for one season as he registered 11782 points, passed for 2572 assists, hauled down 12357 rebounds, and swatted away 138 shots.

  8. Derek Harper handled the Guard spot wearing the number 12 on the Dallas Mavericks (1984-94, and returning in 1997), Orlando Magic (1998), and the Los Angeles Lakers (1999) for 12 seasons as he scored 16006 points, dished out 6577 assists, crashed the boards for 2884 rebounds, and blocked 304 shots.

  9. Ron Boone played the Guard and Small Forward positions wearing the jersey digits on the Dallas Chaparrals (1969-70) and the Texas Chaparrals (1971) for two years as he provided 17437 points, created 3842 assists, fought for 4348 rebounds, and blocked 123 shots.

  10. World B Free played the position of G, wearing the number on the Philadelphia 76ers (1987) for one year as he provided 17955 points, created 3319 assists, fought for 2430 rebounds, and blocked 223 shots.

  11. Johnny Green played the Power Forward and Center positions with this jersey number for the Philadelphia 76ers (1969) for 1 season as he registered 12281 points, passed for 1449 assists, hauled down 9083 rebounds, and swatted away shots.

  12. Sidney Wicks played the Power Forward and Center positions, donning the Boston Celtics number (1977-78) for two Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 12803 points, helped out with 2437 assists, found the ball for 6620 rebounds, and blocked 431 opposing teams' shots.

  13. Jo Jo White played Guard with this jersey identification number of 12 with the Kansas City Kings (1981) for one season as he drained 14399 points, handed out 4095 assists, grabbed 3345 rebounds, and blocked 112 opponent's shots.

  14. Lou Williams played the Guard position identified by the jersey number on the Houston Rockets (2017) for one season as he scored 15396 points, dished out 3712 assists, crashed the boards for 2433 rebounds, and blocked 191 shots.
