Jo Jo White

Born January 16, 1946, in St Louis, Missouri, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard, Joseph White, better know as Jo Jo White. This legend was a seven-time NBA All-Star, the 1975-76 NBA Finals MVP, and two-time Champion. Jo Jo White's amazing thirteen year career had him on the rosters of the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, and the Kansas-City Kings. Averages for Jo Jo included 17.2 points and just under 5 assists per game.


Louie Dampier

Born November 20, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard Louie Dampier. This legend was a four-time ABA All-Time team member and a seven -time NBA All-Star. Dampier won Rookie of the Year honors as well as an ABA Championship, playing all nine seasons of the ABA's existence with the same team. Louie was on the rosters of the Kentucky Colonels and the San Antonio Spurs.


Tiny Archibald

Born September 2, 1948, in New York, New York, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Point Guard Tiny Archibald. Nate Archibald was a six-time NBA All-Star and was selected as All-NBA five times. His accolades include being the 1972-73 League scoring champion and winning an NBA Championship in 1981. The southpaw shooter played for the Cincinnati Royals, Kansas City-Omaha Kings, New York Nets, Boston Celtics, and the Milwaukee Bucks.


Bob Dandridge

Born November 15, 1947, in Richmond, Virginia, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Forward Bob Dandridge. This legend was a four-time NBA All-Star, a former Rookie of the Year, and an NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award winner. Dandridge played on the Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Bullets during a 13-year NBA career that saw him on two NBA Championship squads.


Earl Monroe

Born November 21, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Guard Earl Monroe. This legend was known by many endearing nicknames like Earl The Pearl, Black Jesus, Black Magic, Einstein, The Lord’s Prayer, Thomas Edison, and The Magic Man. Monroe lived up to the hype as he was a four-time NBA ALL-Star, a Rookie of the Year in 1967-68, and was selected to be on the 2017 NBA 75th Anniversary Top 100 Players list. He was a master at handling the ball and contributed over 18 points and 3.9 assists per game on average during the span of his fourteen seasons in the League.

That takes us to the selection of the 15 Greatest Players to have worn the Number 10 with a list of the top players that as of January 1, 2022 have worn the number in the NBA on game days.

  1. Steve Nash was a Guard wearing the number 10 on the Los Angeles Lakers (2013-14) for two seasons as he scored 17387 career points, dished out 10335 assists, crashed the boards for 3642 rebounds, and blocked 102 shots.

  2. Otis Thorpe played the position(s) of F and C wearing the jersey digits on the Vancouver Grizzlies (1998) for one year as he provided 17600 points, created 2730 assists, fought for 10370 rebounds, and blocked 501 shots.

  3. DeMar DeRozan played the position(s) of G and F wearing the number on the Toronto Raptors (2010-18) and the San Antonio Spurs (2019-21) for 11 years as he provided 21051 points, created 3949 assists, fought for 4451 rebounds, and blocked 301 shots."

  4. Walt Frazier played the position of Guard with this jersey number for the New York Knicks (1968-77) for ten seasons as he registered 15581 points, passed for 5040 assists, hauled down 4830 rebounds, and swatted away 63 shots.

  5. Tim Hardaway was a Guard donning the number on the Golden State Warriors (1991-96), Miami Heat (1096-2001), Dallas Mavericks (2002), and the Denver Nuggets (2002) for 10 Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 15373 points, helped out with 7095 assists, found the ball for 2855 rebounds, and blocked 129 opposing teams' shots.

  6. Tiny Archibald played the position of G, identified by the jersey number on the Cincinnati Royals (1971-72), and the Kansas City Omaha Kings (1973-74) for three seasons as he scored 16481 points, dished out 6476 assists, crashed the boards for 2046 rebounds, and blocked 81 shots.

  7. Sam Cassell covered a Guard position wearing the digits on the Houston Rockets (1994-96), Dallas Mavericks (97), New Jersey Nets (97 to 99), Phoenix Suns (97), and the Milwaukee Bucks (2000-03) for a total of eight seasons as he registered 15635 points, passed for 5939 assists, hauled down 3221 rebounds, and swatted away 163 shots.

  8. Red Kerr played the positions of C and F wearing the number on the Syracuse Nationals (1955-63), as well as the Philadelphia 76ers (64-65) for 10 seasons as he scored 12480 points, dished out 2004 assists, crashed the boards for 10092 rebounds, and blocked shots.

  9. Bob Dandridge played the positions of F and G wearing the jersey digits on the Milwaukee Bucks (1970-77 and a return trip in 1982) and the Washington Bullets (78-81) for 12 years as he provided 15530 points, created 2846 assists, fought for 5715 rebounds, and blocked 303 shots.

  10. Bill Bridges played the positions of Forward and Center, wearing the number 10 on St Louis Hawks (1963) for one season as he provided 11012 points, created 2553 assists, fought for 11054 rebounds, and blocked 36 shots.

  11. Earl Monroe was a Guard with this jersey number for the Baltimore Bullets (1969-72) teams for four seasons as he registered 17454 points, passed for 3594 assists, hauled down 2796 rebounds, and swatted away 121 shots.

  12. Mike Bibby played the position of G, donning the number on the Vancouver Grizzlies (1999-2001), Sacramento Kings (2002-08), and the Atlanta Hawks (2008-11) for 12 Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 14698 points, helped out with 5517 assists, found the ball for 3103 rebounds, and blocked 149 opposing teams' shots.
