Author Dave Jordan joined us recently to chat about a book he wrote a few years back with a baseball legend, Dave Parker. The book titled: Cobra: A Life of Baseball and Brotherhood, chronicles the Hall of Fame Baseball career of Mr. Parker. 


About Author Dave Jordan

This accomplished author not only assisted to make Cobra a 2021 finalist for the prestigious Casey Award, for the top historical baseball writing, but he penned another excellent piece of baseball literature; with co-author John D'Acquisto, titled Fastball John.

Mr. Jordan's work has also been found in some of the top sports publications such as the Sporting News, SB Nation, and the Hardball Times. The multi-talented Dave Jordan is also the director of the 2003 short film "The Paper Mache Chase," starring Jim Gaffigan, Cynthia Nixon and Spalding Gray. He is an SXSW Film alumnus, and is the creator of the first athlete/author online platform, Instream Sports.


Dave Parker Career Stats

Dave Parker is a Baseball Hall of Fame player that played the positions of Right Field, Left Field, Center Field, First Base, and Second Base wearing the number 39 on the Pittsburgh Pirates (1973-83) Cincinnati Reds (1984-87), Oakland Athletics (1988-89), Milwaukee Brewers (1990),  California Angels (1991), and rthe Toronto Blue Jays (1991) for 19 seasons as he batted 0.29 for his career, had an On Base percentage of 0.471, with 339 career Home Runs, and 3 Gold Glove Awarded Seasons.
