Born November 21, 1920, in Donora, Pennsylvania, was Stan Musial, the legendary Baseball Hall of Fame player of the St Louis Cardinals. Stan Musial played the position of First Baseman, Left Fielder, Right Fielder, Center Fielder, and Pitcher wearing the number 6 on the St. Louis Cardinals (1941-63) for 22 seasons as he batted 0.331 for his career, had an On Base percentage of 0.559, with 475 career Home Runs. In his first full season in the Bigs, 1942, the St Louis Cardinals won the World Series. In 1943, Musial led the National League in six different offensive categories, earned his first MVP award, and was on an NL All-Star squad for the first time of many times during his career. Many might not remember that it appeared to be the end of Stan-the-Man's career in 1959 as he struggled at the plate. Musial refused Father Time and hired the services of a personal trainer to help regain his productivity through 1963. When Stan retired, he held or shared 17 major league records, 29 National League records, and nine All-Star Game records.
