Born May 20, 1940, in Sokolce, Slovak Republic, was Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame center, Stan Mikita. Many experts consider Stan as the best center in hockey of the 1960s. His entire NHL career that stretched out over 22 seasons was spent on the roster of the Chicago Black Hawks. It is no wonder as this legend was on the Stanley Cup Championship team in 1961; won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL's MVP in 1967 and 68. Mikita was also a six-time NHL First All-Star Team member, and in 2017 Mikita was cast as one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players of all-time.
