1876 - George Hall and Ezra Sutton both have 3 triples.
1913 - Ray Schalk hits his first career home run off HOF Walter Johnson.
1963 - Duke Snider hits 400th home run.
1965 - Reds starter Jim Maloney, who strikes out 18 batters, no-hits the Mets for ten innings, but loses 1-0.
1969 - Reggie Jackson of the Oakland Athletics collects 10 RBI. This guy could be good.
1996 - Cal Ripken, Jr. of the Baltimore Orioles breaks the world record for the most consecutive games played.

1949- Three-Finger Brown, Charlie Gehringer, and Kid Nichols inducted into the Hall of Fame.
1957 - Ted Williams hits three home runs in the Boston Red Sox’ 9-3 win over the Cleveland Indians.
1966 - The Red Sox played the Indians in Cleveland and three home runs were lost to the rain out. (Boston- George Scott,Indians -Jose Azcue and Leon Wagner)

1875 – George Hall of the Athletics hits 2 consecutive homers as Philadelphia trounces.
1891 – Herman Long goes 6 for 6 with 4 runs scored for the Boston Beaneaters.
1926 - Russ Wrightstone hits for the cycle.
1967 - The Twins’ Dean Chance tosses a one-hitter.
1968 - Roberto Clemente hits one of longest ever hit in Candlestick.

Al Kaline
Born December 19, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, was Baseball Hall of Fame Right Fielder and First baseman Al Kaline. Kaline wore the number 6 on the Detroit Tigers (1954-74) for 21 seasons as he batted 0.297 for his career, had an On Base percentage of 0.48, with 399 career Home Runs, and 7 Gold Glove Awarded Seasons. Al is one of the top MLB jersey Number 6s of All-Time
