Jim Rice
Born March 8, 1953, in Anderson, South Carolina, was Baseball Hall of Fame left fielder, Jim Rice. Rice played on the Boston Red Sox (1974-89) for 16 seasons as he batted 0.298 for his career, had an On Base percentage of 0.502, with 382 career Home Runs. Jim's accolades include AL MVP in 1978; he was an MLB All Star eight times; and was the AL HR leader 1977, 78, and 83.
Larry Murphy
Born March 8, 1961, in Scarborough, Ontario, was Larry Murphy, the Hock Hall of Fame defenseman. Murphy was on four Stanley Cup Champion teams and was a three-time All-Star. He played on the Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitols, Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Detroit Red Wings over his 21 year NHL career.
