Our friend Randy Snow co-host of the World of Football Podcast, joins us to talk about his favorite player jersey, the Number 22 of Doug Flutie!

Doug Flutie

For anyone younger than 30 years old the name Doug Flutie might not mean very much to them in respect to football history. Yes if you look at his mere NFL stats that would say he to someone that he was a decent arm on an undersize quarterback by most NFL standards that just couldn't hold a consistent gig with any particular franchise. This too would be a fair statement but still Flutie had an it factor about him. Not every starting signal caller has the "it" factor, by but by gosh Doug Flutie did.

Our friend Randy Snow co-host of the World of Football Podcast, supplied us with a great take on his favorite jersey and player and it just so happened to be Mr. Flutie. Check out Randy's inspiring recap on the 1984 Heisman Trophy above as part of this episode's podcast. When your done with that visit the website of World of Football, Kalamazoo, where Randy and his son and co-host Adam Snow literally take the listener each week around the world in the game of football.

As the signal caller of his Junior High team Doug led them to two consecutive county titles. The local high school coach had to be licking his chops, however a setback occurred when the space program slowed down in the mid-1970s and the elder Flutie lost his job, causing the family to have to relocate in Massachusetts. Now a stranger on the sports scene in
