Rick Barry

Born March 28, 1944, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Forward Rick Barry. This legend has accolades galore from his fourteen-year pro basketball career. Barry's awards include being a four-time All-ABA standout, twelve-time NBA All-Star, and six-time All-NBA. The man could play and score, averaging 24.8 points per game during his career, which included stints with the San Francisco Warriors, Oakland Oaks, Washington Capitols, New York Nets, Golden State Warriors, and Houston Rockets.


Kevin Garnett

Born May 19, 1976, in Greenville, South Carolina, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame player Kevin Garnett. KG was also know as the "Big Ticket" during his playing career in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves (for two stints), Boston Celtics, and Brooklyn Nets. Garnett was both a Power Forward and a Center during his career for 21 seasons as he scored 26071 points, dished out 5445 assists, crashed the boards for 14662 rebounds, blocked 2037 shots and averaged 17.8 points per contest played for his career.


Jason Kidd

Born March 23, 1973, in San Francisco, California, was Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Guard Jason Kidd. This legend was a nine-time All-Defensive NBA standout, an NBA Champion 2011, and a six-time All-NBA star. His ten All-Star games set him on a level few have reached in the NBA, eventually placing him on the 2017 NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Kidd played on the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, and the New York Knicks.

That takes us to the selection of the 15 Greatest Players to have worn the Number 2:

Moses Malone - this stud Center and Forward wearing the jersey digits on the Philadelphia 76ers (1983-86, and again in 1994), Atlanta Hawks (1989-91), and the San Antonio Spurs (1995) for seven years as he provided 29580 points, created 1936 assists, fought for 17834 rebounds, and blocked 1889 shots.
  2. Kevin Garnett - the big man played the positions of Forward and Center wearing the number on the Brooklyn Nets (14, 15) for 2 seasons as he scored 26071 points, dished out 5445 assists, crashed the boards for 14662 rebounds, and blocked 2037 shots.
  3. Jason Kidd - this hard playing Guard donned the number on the Dallas Mavericks (2008-12) for 5 Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 17529 points, helped out with 12091 assists, found the ball for 8725 rebounds, and blocked 450 opposing teams' shots in his career
  4. Alex English - he played the Forward position wearing the digits on the Denver Nuggets (1980-90) and the Dallas Mavericks (1991) for 11 seasons as he registered 25613 points, passed for 4351 assists, hauled down 6538 rebounds, and swatted away 833 shots.
  5. Rick Barry - This guy played the position of Forward wearing the number 2 on the Houston Rockets (79, 80) for 2 seasons as he scored 25279 points, dished out 4952 assists, crashed the boards for 6863 rebounds, and blocked 269 shots during his career.
