That takes us to the selection of the 15 Greatest Players to have worn the Number 17 with a list of the top players that as of January 1, 2022 have worn the number in the NBA on game days.

  1. John Havlicek - played the positions of Forward and Guard wearing the number on the Boston Celtics (63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78) for 16 seasons as he scored 26395 points, dished out 6114 assists, crashed the boards for 8007 rebounds, blocked 117 shots and averaged 20.8 points per contest played for his career.
  2. Pau Gasol - played the position of Center/Forward wearing the number on the Milwaukee Bucks (19) for 1 seasons as he scored 20894 points, dished out 3925 assists, crashed the boards for 11305 rebounds, smacked down 1941 opponent's shots and averaged 17 points a game for his career.
  3. Chris Mullin - lined up at Forward and Guard wearing the number 17 on the Golden State Warriors (86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 01)
    and the Indiana Pacers (98, 99, 00) for 15 years as he provided career 17911 points, created 3450 assists, fought for 4034 rebounds, blocked 549 shots, and averaged 18.2 points per game for his career.
  4. Cliff Hagan - played the Forward and Guard positions with this jersey number for the St. Louis Hawks (57) for 1 seasons as he registered 14870 points, passed for 2646 assists, hauled down 5555 rebounds, swatted away  shots averaged 17.7 points each for his career.
  5. Tom Van Arsdale - was a Forward/Guard donning the number 17 on the Cincinnati Royals (68) for 1 Pro Basketball seasons as he scored 14232 career points, helped out with 2085 assists, found the ball for 3942 rebounds, blocked 16 opposing teams' shots, averaging 16 points/game for his career.
