KC Heart Logo

I came across a great piece written by Toriano Porter of the KansasCity.com website titled: That iconic 'KC Heart Charlie Hustle logo? Negro Leagues' Monarchs wore it first. the other day and wanted to share a bit of the history that Mr. Porter uncovered.

According to the story, a Missouri vintage T-shirt vendor, Charlie Hustle Clothing has recently been been selling shirts with the same style of logo, to bring civic pride to Kansas City.

The logo in question is a simple heart sihlouette with a K and C on top of it, symboliizing at first glance one's love for Kansas City. Porter interviewed the head of the Negro Baseball Museum who told the reporter that the symbol was first used by the 1941 Monarchs as a left sleeve adornment.
